Sides make closing arugments
(NEWSER) – Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail, CNNreports. In closing arguments before the judge's decision today, prosecutors held that Pistorius' version of events, in which he mistook slain girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp for an intruder, is "improbable"; they argued that he's a flight risk. They say the athlete is aware he's "almost guaranteed" a lengthy prison term. "The only reason you fire four shots is to kill. On his own version, he is bound to be convicted," a prosecutor said, according to the BBC.
