Proud new  gorilla mum Kijivu has welcomed her fourth baby at Prague Zoo.

It's good  news for the 19-year-old mum after she tragically lost her five-year-old male  Tatu when he accidentally hung himself last summer.

Mum and baby, who was  born on 22 December 2012, are both doing well, according to the  zoo.

Zookeepers are keeping their distance for a while to let mother and  baby bond, so the sex of the newborn is yet to be identified.


The two  spend most of their time playing, and the baby's name will be put to public vote  in the spring.
