Bon Jovi is seeing just how young their audience skews. The band is among the nominees for this year's Kids' Choice Awards. The New Jersey rockers are vying for Favorite Music Group along with Maroon 5, One Direction, and the Nickelodeon-launched Big Time Rush.
The fan-voted event lets tweens weigh in on entertainment and pop culture, with categories in sports, books, video games, and apps as well as in music, movies, and TV. Online voting begins Thursday at Nick.com/kids-choice-awards.
The 26th annual Kids' Choice Awards will air live on Nickelodeon on March 23rd.
The event is geared toward those in the seven-to-12-year-old range, so the oldest voters would have been born just after Bon Jovi released their seventh studio album, 2000's "Crush." The band's latest CD will hit stores a couple of weeks before the event. What About Now featuring the single "Because We Can," is set to arrive on March 8th.
